I wanted to try something a bit stronger that the OE guard. I have had good luck with the Scotts Billet guard that I have on my 500....that thing can take a beating and shrug it off. However, I wanted to try to save some weight. I did consider the Zip-Ty shark fin--not in stock. I saw the claims from TM Designworks and their Indestructible Rear Rotor Guard. Its made out of a phenolic type of material that we use in the aviation field and its light as hell and pretty strong. Thought why not....

As it came in the mail:

Yes they offer different years...

Easy, not rocket science to change this out:

I noticed off the bat its pretty stout, not the measurements and comparison to the OE guard:

I douched the bolts with blue Honda Bond--and fergit 'bout it. Took less than 20 seconds to bolt up. No issues....bolted right up:

After it was bolted up. I balled my fist up and did a few good hammer-fists. It does give "some" (not a lot) but springs right back to its original  contour. This will work. I think it will be able to sustain a good hit, protect the rotor and not break....cool.
