I took this picture at the spring hill climb at the picnic hill in Billings, Montata '05. Forgot all about it til checking tru old folders. He's from billings, and I had checked out his shop beside a gasgas bike shop owned by Scott Olson i think? I seen the guys working on them as we got into town, they were great to talk to and had piles of tips and advice for us. I'm thinking of modifying my chassis to accept the aluminum frame tank and parts like this one has been and was looking for more pictures of it.

Seems like an awful lot of work for what amounts to less gas and asthetics.

i'm at work and can't see the pic-
Dave Johnston from Billings cuts the back bone out of steelys and makes a twin spar frame. You can then use all the new 250 or 450 tanks and plastic. I think he charges around 400-450 to do it plus you have to get all the plastic...
They look very good when all done.... but you can pic up a gen 1 roller for 600 and build an AF.

I can fabricate just about anything here myself, i'm trying to get away from finding somebody elses old junk to keep my bike rideable, i have sets of rads for spares, but a cracked tank and screwed rad shrouds and old meter-wide seats are still crap.
