Picked this up the other day.

What can you guys tell me about the lighting coil. Any idea on the wattage? Is this some sort of do-it-yourself add on? If I run a light would I need to wire in a rectifier, regulator, or something? Where do I get one?

By the looks of the sticker on the case, looks like a replacement stator side case huh?

Does it have a serial number below the gear lever, if not the engine was brought new from honda. Mine came without the bottom serial numbers.
That looks like a 85-88 stator its only a guess.

Looks like one of those claimed 35watt lighting coils to me.
If that is the case, its AC only output, at a minimum you'll need a regulator to run that unit.
