Hi all,

looking for a little advise, i have some new Boyesen Reeds that dont have the thin rev plate accross the mount holes, the paper work that comes with it called for use of the old plate if none is supplied. Is anyone using the std rev plate with Boyesen reeds or are you doing something different??

I've used the stock plate before, just be sure to check that the screw length is right

Thanks Roostius,

Does the the std rev plate really impact on the amount the new reeds can open or am i splitting atoms for no real gain.

Hi mate.
When I got my big girl, she had boyesen carbon reeds fitted using the stock plate.
It went great...until I put a 39.5 PWK and rad valve in :D :D

I did fit a set of Boyesen carbon reeds to my brothers YZ250WR and that was supplied with a small rev plate ,disgarding the stock plate.
Made it a different bike ,so I would say if it needs it Boyesen will supply it in the kit.

Thanks mr500,

The engine has been rebuilt top and bottom so i think the safe bet is to leave it as it was with the std rev plate. Its been a while since i was on a CR500 so I'm sure this will satisfy for a while.
