I can understand a lighter sentence but should of been more than that. His intent was to kill. I guess the kidnapper lived then.

I think the jurers saw it for what it was, his intent was to kill a low life that kidnapped and raped his son, hopefully the dirtbag died and saved the taxpayers millions of $, if someone hurt my family like that I would hope that I could muster up the courage it took to pull that off, I applaud himiggys-amsoil wrote:Wow jus Wow!

I'm guessing that that was not the dirt bags first offence.
Not say'n vigilanty justice is right or OK but if that sentence sends a message to some other dirt bag and makes him think again about taking someones huiman rights then he is a public hero.

Good for Gary, the story said he was prosecuted for manslaughter so dude is dead.
I would do the exact same thing or sneak a wooden homemade knife into the courtroom, raping or killing a family member of mine would leave me feeling dead inside anyway, a little time spent locked up or whatever punishment they need to give me would be worth it to me.

What he did was wrong, but was justified and I can't say I wouldn't have done the same. Hopefully he got his message across and I'm sure nobody will fuck with his family again. 
But if everyone took matters into their own hands like that the world would be far more fucked than it already is.
