reed block without stuffers

Can you run a stock reed block with the stuffer wings cut off the manifold?

Cut them off for v-force fitment. Just wondered if I could go back to stock. Number of posts touting them as superior to aftermarket setups. Wondered about flow velocity and volume. Thanks
