Describe your ideal Suspension?

I have been speaking to Mojo about this... Mine is as follows.

First 1/3 of stroke... Very plush... like a water bed.

Second 1/3... getting stiffer.. soft compression with pretty quick rebound.

Last third .. pretty stiff with good bottoming protection... slower rebound to lessen "pogo stick" feel.

That said, suspension should bottom out about 3 times a ride. Proves to me that all available travel is being used. If bottoming occurrs more, or less, adjust oil hight as needed to bring suspension back into spec. Unused suspension stroke is a waste... and probably occurs more than you think... everyone check theirs with a zip tie once in a while?

Does this sound like something you would like to ride?

Im not a suspension guy by any means so dont take this to heavily

This new bike is a ton stillfer than my '00, I thought it would handle horrible but once rolling its amazing. Its definatly stiffer over small choppy stuff (kinda feels like a car lowered by cutting the springs) but the big stuff doesnt phaze it at all, I have never owned or ridden a bike that felt as stable over big whoops. My 00 is a couch in comparison very soft all around this is great for cruising around but also gives more of a walloing disconected feeling when hauling ass :? .

I have never bottomed my forks and have bottomed the shock on my 00 maybe once in 3 years, I cant see me ever bottoming my AF.

I know learning boingers would help me immensly but im completely paranoid when it comes to clickers, if the bike bounces up and down I go ride

Not for me. I never want to bottom-out, even if I come up short. Well, maybe only then, but only a little bit of a bottom.

I want to be able to come up way short and not break my wrists or ankles.

First time the front bottomed or so I thought, the frame broke. :bonk: :x

Bottomed the rear once at the step off at Perris, the one you saw Bob, two clicks compression added, all good.
