Just picked up my first cr the other day. Its a '94 with a few mods. I currently have a 06 crf450 sm and yz125. The cr500 is definitely a fun ride. I'm glad I picked it up.

Future plans:
some mods and dirt riding
possibly AF swap

Where is a good place to browse aftermarket parts for the cr500's?

Welcome.
I'd like to see your location and a cool avatar in your posts.
It's your choice but the location helps sometimes.
Where do you plan to ride?
A buddy and me want to come down to a couple of ride parks in your general area sometime.
We're north of you in Clemmons and Mount Airy NC.
What kinda parts are you looking for?
I've found things at different places.

I don't have much gear yet so that's the first thing I would like to get.

Then,

black tank, bigger front brake, decomp valve, different seat, upgrade plastics, the honda racing black engine side covers. Also looking into having a friend make me some cf fairings.

I haven't ridden at any of the parks around here I just have a little something in my back yard. I have some people that want me to go to carolina adventure world with them though.

Im not telling you what to do here but get some gear get your bike running well and dial in your susoension before you start getting shiny stuff that really does nothing to make the bike work better. Decomp setup is money well spent though Roostius Maximas is selling some now i think and he does great work. Bling wont make your bike sing my friend

Those aren't immediate plans, just future stuff. I do plan on getting gear and riding it for a while before I start to mod it with shiny parts. Thanks for the heads up on the decomp valve.

Yeah, CAW is the place.
I rode a little yesterday around here on some of my vintage bikes.
First time I kicked a bike over in over a month, just too busy lately.
If you're into single track, Brushy Mountain is the place for you.
Just remember, it's called B R U S H Y M O U N T A I N!
