First, order one of these for $10....

Next, get a 5 gallon bucket and a piece of thick plywwod about 1 " bigger in diemeter. Rout a groove in the plywood so it index's into the bucket lip about 1/4" or so.

Now.... connect the vacuum pump the the lid with fittings as need.

Ok.... the theory here is to place your chain in the bucket, and submerge it in heavy oil / thin grease.

Cover it with the lid , and turn on vacuum pump.

ALL the air will be drawn out of EVERY pore of the chain, rollers, links.. everywhere.

Once the vacuum is removed, atmospheric air pressure forces lube back into EVERY void and pore of the chain.

Its gotta work better than the " spray your chain and hope it sinks in somewhere" method... right?

The whole thing has to cost less that $15 bucks...

How much of a vacuum can you pull on a typical bucket? Enough to do any good?

Thats why the lid has to index, to keep the bucket from collapsing..
