Two-Stroke Motor in a Vehicle

Post by B440 »

So you have a 2T motor, four cylinders 500cc each, and you're going to put it into something. I always thought an S2000 would be a good car to use. 6-speed, rear wheel drive convertible so you can really hear those four pipes!

What would you do?

i always want to put a tripple sled (ultra 680 or xcr800) in a shifter kart, keeping the CVT transmission
the 450 will have less power and will be harder to start, and will be heavier, but to make up for it it will require more maintenance.

haha not quite what I had in mind Bob.

I've always like the RZ350 (Banshee) powered karts

My boss has an old Saab Sonett II: 3-cyl oil injected, but front wheel drive and shifter on the column. I'd buy it if I had 20k though

Bob you know anything about this truck or just find it on youtube? I had a friend that had this same setup in a 76 3/4 ton suburban. 2 sticks 4 speed trans just like the video same Detroit engine too. It was absolutely awesome to drive people would look from several blocks away to see what it was. It was converted by a company in KS can't remember the name but they did exclusively chevy trucks from the 70's. I think he parted it out and kept the engine (he's in the salvage business) the body wasn't the greatest but the engine ran like a top. I wish I'd have had the money he offered to sell it to me before the part out.
