Showa forks

Post by coley13 »

from what models available will fit my gen3?

my kyb need re springing and now a fork tube has some damage. I figure the cr125 KYB is NOT worth spending money on when there is so many showa units availble through ebay etc for very little money...

Which forks should i look at, i reckon i'd budget $500 for a second hand set. Moreso need to know what will work and have no hidden costs. eg wheel spacing, triple clamps, caliper mounting etc.

ps, i'm using 06 250 frame, 07 125 triples/ brakes..

also does anyone have preference on which fork may suit the heavier engine...

i ride mostly ST 2nd gear

cheers

PPS, unless i could be convinced just to respring my KYB and recoat the forks. I figure i'm down about $600 already just doing that
13 isnt unlucky i just keep falling off

i waited a while and got a decent set of forks off ebay for $250, 06 crf 250
make sure to measure the lengths before bolting on, 06 crf were a few mm longer than the 09 crf, even tho lots of people say they are the same fork, there slightly diffrent
the 450 will have less power and will be harder to start, and will be heavier, but to make up for it it will require more maintenance.
