From Proride.com....

"Sunday at Glen Helen, David Bailey was presented with the Edison Dye Lifetime Achievement Award, and got a surprise when he showed up. Dave Arnold from Honda had brought along David’s last bike he raced on. He was undefeated on it! Watching him look it over, touching parts. adjusting levers, and pointing out things that weren’t there was very cool. He told me a little story about it that I thought was awesome. Below is what he said.

He won his own national on that bike in Virginia, then the title at Washougal,, and then Maggiora Italy when O'Show finished 2nd behind him on his 125. And then the final moto when he and RJ and crossed the line together. He parked it in the paddock and headed for the podium. After that he went home to marry his wife Gina. That was the last time he ever saw it until yesterday."

Awesome!
David grew up near me and Gary still lives there in Axton at Lake Sugartree.

I've gotten some good pics of David when he was on that bike at the LS national.
I'll look for them and post when I find them.
I've got some of him on that wicked 500 works bike with the hand fabricated aluminum fuel tank as well somewhere.

I finally found some pics.
This is David on the CR500 at his track in Axton Virginia, Lake Sugartree.
I've got more to post later.
This first one, I was hanging over the fence and trying to get him to lay it over and he did.
