Anyone experimented with different weights of fluid??

It was damn cold today and my first ride with my magura today and it was almost a harder pull than the cable, but it felt as though the fluid was just too thick more than anything else.

Bit of backstory here...
This was a brand new unit, that was used once (factory filled and bled) on the first ride (mounted on my dads cr250) the slave cylinder liked the seal off the piston. Got a warrenty new complete slave unit, and bled it using the only mineral oil the drugstore had. This sat in a box since last year and I figured what the hell may as well try it again

( big thanks to Bob for his bleeding method as everything else I tried sucked)

Yer Welcome....

Simple way usually = the best way.

Never had my Mugura feel stiff, even in the snow.

Weird....

USE REAL MAGURA BLOOD!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
its as thin as water, big difrence to the crap your using even when its warm

when your master cyl goes replace it with a 9.0mm it wil make it 10% easier, which is a big difrence, motion pro bearing lever helps a little too

What color blood are you using, red or blue?

I was also reading people are using ATF or 0w or 5w fork oil.

I'll get some "blood" and redo it and see.

The red has been replaced for mountain bike brake use by the blue "royal" blood.

Have you had any luck getting the fluid at bicycle shops or ktm dealer? Or just buy online. (you know what it's like to live in Canada and get hosed on online purchases and shipping!)
