First real ride on the '87! Carnegie, CA 10/2/11

I went out to Carnegie last Sunday to spectate the hillclimbs and ride. I watched about ten minutes of hillclimbs including Brad Killgores 14.1 second winning run.
I put in about seven hours of solid trail riding and my bike worked great after I dialed in the suspension. I had the second oldest bike I saw on the trails, and mine definately looked the worst. Haha. Despite the faded plastics and leaking gaskets I had no failures and the bike rode much better than I had anticipated. I feel like this bike has more low end than my 97 did. Im already close to my (slow) skill level I was at when I quit riding four years ago. This was hands down the best day I have had in months. I had a few minor flops and narrowly avoided riding off a cliff but I emerged unscathed.
