so we all know most car salesman are snake in the grass

and i think i got hosed today but maybe you can clarify somethings. dont want to tear up the toyota running it to work so i found old beater at the local dealer. get down there and he says they want $4400 but since im a freind of a friend he can let it go for $3900 and i agree. once the 3' stack of paper work comes out he starts talking 100mph like a auctioneer. signed all the papaers and didnt think much about it. got home looking at the papers and some how in the confusion i signed one that states they sold the truck to me for $3900 but that dirty bastard added a $389 "doc" fee and $198 "other" charge so now im at $4487
WTF

...
You have to make sure you are talking out the door price and always, at least ask what is in the fine print.
Maybe that freind he was talking about screwed him and this is his way af getting him back.
is there a cool off period on the vehicle? maybe you can take it back?

In my experience, long ago and far away, car salesmen have no friends when it comes to selling cars.
It's like a drug when you hose people
My conscience got to me so I got out.

$389 doc fee = Dealer fuck fee
$198 other = You got fuked fee
Dont get too bent out of shape you bought a 4k beater, worst case scenario they made 3k profit and all in all thats an average deal

Our doc fee is standard in cali and $55 per deal, the "other" fee you could probably get an attorney to have a boner over that.
I sell paper to peeps, yes its mostly shit you dont need and pay a stupid markup for but hey I like toys
As Ive said before over and over and over and over again if anyone here is even thinking about stepping foot on a dealer lot for anything aside from service and parts call me or pm me first and Ill get you taken care of.
If you wanna do it on your own just take the easy route and grab $3-9k in $100 bills and set it alight because if the salesman dont get it from you the finance guy upstairs if hes half as good as me will......

A perfect example is J lewis.
He hits me up to buy a truck, I get him what he wants and the dealer makes $450 on the deal, he buys a warranty they make an extra $100.
Now in my eyes thats a perfect deal, he gets a 60k truck and the dealer makes $550 for the time.
If I dint know him and he walked up on the lot we would have made 7+ k on the truck (if he haggled the price down) and I would have tapped him in finance another 5-6k for warranty, gap, alarm, prepaid maint, and replacement. Non of this is including the interest which I would have made 2 points on for another 3k in profit.
Thats a possible 16k net profit and thats if hes good at haggling.......
Hit me up anytime if you need help with car buying guys, the profit is insane if you walk into a dealer unarmed.....

Biggest single paycheck I ever got was for a used car at a LM dealership.
I hafta admit it is intoxicating. The more you do, the more you wanna do.
I sat in on a few F&I deals and THAT was fascinating to watch.

made some phone calls and i guess all cars get a doc fee. $389 seems steep though. 16k toyota only had $199 doc fee. not happy about the "$189 extra" charge. i should of paid more attention

. doubt ill ever go to a dealer again unless i buy brandnew and that will be many years down the road

I don't like silk, I am not a huge fan of the egyptian cotton either but it's one of the few sheets that fit over the Chattam & Wells mattress. I actually like a cheap mattress flopped right on the floor with no box spring cheap cotton sheets with a crap comforter but a happy wife keeps me happy too. Wife is sitting good currently but her next ride if your not in England I'm getting through you Brit. My rides are old crap.

every timne I walk into a dealership I embaras the hell out of the wife. Everytime the dude walks away shes all "why are you being suck and asshole" sure enough the guy will come back and say "ok, my manager approved it, but..." then the process goes back for another round. Anyone who walks in and pays sticker or buys all the extras is and idiot. When I bought the rzr, I was there literally all day and several times busted out the "ok, thats fine, I will shop around and maybe go see what carter power sports has to say and maybe I'll come back" to which the responce is "no, no, maybe we can..."
I'm sure Chris will agree, as much as the sales guy tries to be your buddy, he is not and I mean not by a long shot. Maybe you went to high school with the guy or maybe you have mutual friends, but they are going to make their money. To me the best for negotiation is to take an interest in something they need to move, last years model, something that is overstocked, etc and take advantage but never assume they are doing you any favors with manufacturer rebates, there is plenty of room after that.
