Here's a little project we have been working on for my son Garrett that has finally been completed. Other than some tuning/jetting issues.
An 07 CRF 250x with an 01 CR250r engine.
He wanted Excel wheels and decided to buy the rims off flee bay. He got a smoking deal! Than he told me he was going to lace them himself.
So I shot him a grin and said good luck!
Knowing that if it couldn't be done cmotodad would bail me out.
He is running a 20" front and 19" rear. Well, he pulled it off and they are as true as any I have seen.
The stock seat wasn't good enough either. He ordered material some where off the internet and went for it. Turned out pretty nice.
The graphics are complements of his brother T-rev.
Over all he's happy with the results and has a rare dirt scooter to boot.

Hi, i'm starting the same convesion with a 08 crf250 chassis and i have a question. I started the swap the other day and got the motor sitting in the frame. It looks good with the everything including the pipe, but is hitting on a case bolt. I'm not sure if i should raise it a 1/8" or grind a little off the frame. I have heard not to have your counter shaft to high either. Any help would be appreciated.

Thanks
Jason

Here's a couple pics of the motor sitting in the frame. In the first pic you can see where it's hitting the clutch cover bolt.

What year exhaust pipe did you use and did you have to lengthen it where it goes in the cylinder? I have one for a 1997 and one from a 2001 and both hit the y before they are completely in the cylinder.

Thanks
