Just for shits and giggles, scroll back up to the top of the thread and take another look at the before pics. It still makes me laugh thinking about all the Niguyver finds I stumbled upon going through this thing, didn't think it would ever look like this, and my wife didn't think so either! Her exact comment when I brought it home was "what the hell are you going to do with that piece of shit!?!"

Thanks guys, but it's not set in stone just yet. I'm kinda nervous about firing her up for the first time, anxious, excited, lost for words. :? :o  :D :?: After all I have been through with this build, I just hope all the bad luck is beyond me at this point. I'm tempted to put the old exhaust on just for a test fire....... :bsmeter:

I thought so myself, really had no intentions of selling it. But I must say, EVERYTHING is for sale for the right price!

I'm actually quite surprised that none of you "hawkeye's" have pointed out that the rear brake arm is upside down. Well it's too late now, because I just got my hands on the proper curved arm to replace the straight one that Niguyver put on there. Now that I said that I'll probably have people with magnifying glasses out trying to find faults, should've kept quiet. And no, my chain is not too tight!

The day has finally arrived! My exhaust is in, just finished putting it on. It's raining and crappy out, and I sure as hell won't get this baby dirty on the first day! I will probably fire her up in the garage, I can't wait any longer. Isn't she purdy?

nice build did you fit the disc brake front or was it on there

Front disc brake setup was there when I got it, forks are off an 85-86 YZ 250. I have it for sale locally, might post it on the vintage site once I am sure it is PERFECT. Really have no intentions of selling it, I'm just "fishing" right now, and it pacifies the wife that way too!

Having some troubles still..... :x I can't understand why the clutch arm keeps pushing up and out of the case when the engne is running. If I hold the clutch lever in (keeping tension on it) it doesn't happen, as soon as I let go it pops out. I've already taken the clutch cover off twice, trying it with more and less freeplay on the pushrod, with no success. Any ideas, I'm getting depressed....

I think I figured it out, but it's not looking good at this point. May have to pull the engine and split the cases again. I ran the engine with the clutch arm out, looking in the hole with a flashlight. I could see the pushrod spinning inside the trans main shaft, is this normal? Also, when I rev the engine, the main shaft end bearing spins inside the case, I think this is what is causing my problem, thrusting the arm up and out. Other than splitting the cases, what the hell can I do??? I was thinking flushing the trans with varsol or brake cleaner etc, then trying to drop some loctite in the hole around the bearing to secure it to the case. Good idea? I really don't want to split the cases again, anybody's input would be greatly appreciated at this time. :?

Hey there, bike looks sweet! What did you do with the pipe and silencer that were on it and do you want to sell those pieces?

Not sure about selling the pipe yet Rhino. Might want it just for a spare. What's a swaperoo, is that like polkaroo? The CR is obviously on the back burner right now, reason being that there is nothing wrong with it.
