Anyway im in the site shed having smoko (lunch for those outside of Australia), & this Dickhead is spouting off how shit 2strokes are, that he smash's them all the time & that his YZF450 could make the earth counter rotate its so powerfuly fast.

I went "PFTTT", no seriously just a little "pfttt" under my breath, and fuck me if im lying he heared it.

Well i went on to tell him i didnt think so, also pointing out that a 250 2stroke would have to run in the 450 class if they were to race & would still be very conmpetitive.

I floged him every which way you could thing of, but back at work it was all because his bike was "WHEEL SPINNING" from all the power.

So it is still true that dinosures can still rule the earth........i loved every min of it.

nice, did you also point out the cost and technology put in to your ride vs his ?
and the price of a rebuild

i love it when they have to say you beat them cause your a better rider, then you can go either way from there

Listen, they ride those 4 strokes because they can't ride a 2 stroke.
You gotta admit they make average riders look better than they are.
Trying to reason with them is like trying to reason with a liberal over here.
They can't respond to facts, only emotion.
btw-I have a 2001 CR250 in addition to the big bores.
They are a blast!

for a limited time tho, you dont learn proper riding technique nearly as fast with them

I can sorta empathize with them.
My first 2 bikes were 4 stroke Hondas back in the day (1971).
I quickly learned what went fast and that was a 2 stroke.
So, off to Barneys in St. Pete and came away with a 1974 YZ125A.
I had a learning curve switching between 4 and 2 strokes despite the power robbing Florida sand.
After I learned how to actually use the brakes and keep the engine in the meat of the powerband, I was smoking fast.
Back to the topic though, I don't even waste my breath arguing with that crowd anymore.
I know I'm right and that's all that matters.

Not to mention a 2banger on the tap.....sounds simply the best, be it an 80 or 500cc..........they also smell good to me.

Way to put that loser in his place! Too much wheelspin eh?! What are the "pros" of owning one of those POS's then? I can only think of cons. Looks good on him!

As Roger DeCoster once said, "It takes more talent ride a 2 stoke", that's a paraphrase, but contextually accurate.

Its also got alot to do with the sales side of things.
I used to sell motorcycles in Darwin Australia, & the dealer principle would always ask me to concentrate of the 4T .... i am an enthusiastic 2T kinda guy & sold heaps of KTM SX & Yamaha YZ's back in 09 ..... theres more money to be made on the sale of a 2T but you get better money from the workshop with the maintenance schedules of the 4T's .......

So some times its not just the young blokes them selves, but the pitch the sales rep gave at the point of sale ... ever heard this
