85' to 87' swap?

85' to 87' swap?
I have an 87' 500 frame. Would this be the easy way for my rear disc swap? I have my modded swingarm already. I think the airbox will be the same from 86' to 87'? Plus, the better peg mount is a plus for me. Also, I think the headstays will be different? Am I correct in this?
