Man I sucked at the motor I.D. wasn't great with the cars either. 71% on cars, substantially lower on the motors.

I sucked bad and gave up on both, would have probably ended up at 20% ish and that was just guessing luck.....

I didn't do as good as I thought I would on the 1st test... (especially on the MOPARS) :oops: Think I was over confident on those.

You got 73% ( 35 right out of 48 ). The average score is 73%

I did ( surprizing ) well on the Mopars.

92 % dumb luck , i dont even like 50s cars , but too many years in the bodyshop, one of my painters just got a chrysler with a 331 hemi for $850. runs ,,,gonna be a rat rod motor. personally i'm glad i'm building a 69 roadrunner, pro touring 528 crate hemi,,, cr 500 of car motors

i got 3 motors wrong, trick question at the 3 carb w block :roll: the 312 ford with the supercharger, and the 370 pontiac. 84% :roll:

cut the oil filter open on that hemi :wink:
For an engine thats supposedly been run we see all kinds of crap.
Had to change the pan on the last one to fit it into a '74 charger, pan was full of machining debris and bearing material. we polished the crank and put bearings in it. A local guy bought one 4 years ago or so, didnt even have a timing set in the engine :shock:
Had a dude who brought a 502 bbc to use as a dual blower setup, we needed to change the pistons, was missing a rod nut and had oil rings that were for a smaller bore.

We consider those "crate engines" to be a good core to start from.
