cr250 forks?????

Post by freeride588 »

I was wondering what i would need to do to put 2002 cr250 forks on my 91. I found a very clean set of forks for cheap and if the swap is possible i will pick them up. Thanks

not sure on the 500 but on my 95 250 steelie I had to use a newer upper clamp and use some paper thin alum to shim the lower clamps and change the brake caliper to a newer one (used an 08 4 stroke one). I think I also had to use a newer front axle as the stock one was too short. forks are 08 CRF250r with Ohlins TTX inserts.

Actually I don't think it would be that great if you kept the stock shock, mine had a good PC revalve and still was not balanced with the new fork. Luckily I found a brand new Ohlins shock made for the 250 steelie for cheap on ebay and together they work great.
