The cam is hooked up to my Sony DCR-SR100 camcorder, yes its a $1000 dollar camera that I throw in my backpack

Its got a wide angle lens so the viewing field is pretty wide, check it out.

Wow that's probably the best quality helmet cam footage that I've seen. How much of that is the camera and how much is the recorder? Seeing footage like that turns me back on to the helmet cam idea.
