I think its cool, shameless vehicle pic.

I am loaded up and ready to go ride...I just think this truck is cool. My Dad gives me crap all the time for putting any time or effort into Internationals, but I love them. This is my version of what a Rat Rod is supposed to be...A bunch of others left over crap bolted together into something cool..or at least you think is cool. All those $20,000 rat rods...I love them but some of the spirit seems lost...anyway thats my take. This thing is $1500 worth of crap. Two of them bought for $500 best of both put together, this one was 4x4 but I thought since my truck is up this one should go down. Rims off a newer Dodge $200 seat out of a Dodge, minivan captains chairs reclinable second row, and mini third row that lays into a bed, seats 9...its our party wagon. Zebra head liner, Harley take off mirrors, $40 john deer blitz black paint job, roof rack off an expedition, hodge podge stereo parts that bump. It rolls nice and I dig it. No reason to post other than it hauls a CR500 and I am shameless.

Bob that hood emblem is sweet!!! It's got a 345 in it, the original in this truck was a 304 but the 345 out of the other truck ran better so I put it into this truck...the 4 speed came over with it because the automatic was a real odd ball and I like to drive stuff not stare at it so I wanted stuff I could get parts for. The IH motors won't win any races but they have great torque so if you keep your foot out of it it gets about 16mpg. I averaged 15mpg between Reno and Vegas for last years Supercross with 7 people in there all over 6' and all our bags with one of those Thule rocket boxes on top. If you floor it it makes a bunch of noise, mileage goes to 10 and below and it really doesn't go much faster just makes the 4 barrell sucking fuel sound...Oh yeah I put a left over 4 barrell and manifold I had laying around on it and electronic ignition...It has AC, and I welded a 9" in the rear . I learned how to tint windows on it, the rear curved ones were a bitch...no bubbles though. I have Air ride stashed for it and want to C notch the rear but I have been working on my 65 Lincoln suicide vert. I replaced all the weatherstriping out of a few different vehicles, the pinch weld was the best out of a Kia sportage, its really quiet in there other than the stereo. The carpet is stratigically cut throw rugs glued with some PL adhesive.
It was internationals version of the Surburban, I am not actually sure who was first they were both spin offs of their panel truck and they both made them forever. It gets a lot of thumbs up and a lot of what the hell is that. I have been playing with Internationals for like 15 years and once you get them figured out they are really good vehicles and not that hard to find parts for. The motors run forever, the one in my crew went 300000 before I swapped in a 392. Like I said I think its cool but my Dad gives me so much crap for them saying they were pieces of shit when they were built.....so now its just a rebuilt POS.

Buy a petrel I'd ignition for it, we ran those 345s and 44whatevers in the grain trucks for years, only failure ever was the pickup. Like 3mpg just updating electronic from electronic

That's supposed to say "pertronix"

I run the delco remy distributers with a modifyable vacuum advance and Crane electronic ignition stuff, pretty similar to the pertronix...your right there is mileage to be had in those dizzy's. Once the old pile starts throwing a fat blue spark, they just purr.

Gotta be nice to live where vehicles dont rust away to an iron pile in ten years. my grandpa had an old international scout that ran forever, in fact i still mow his lawn and plow his driveway with 55 year old tractor and lawn mower.

My pops had a 59 2 ton dump that was his work horse started with a 6 then 345 and ended up with a 392 I put a 5 speed in it when I was 19 he hauled x-mass trees for years with it ,had a triple axle 27' trailer with 6 33x16.5 tires, 8 lug axels , stacked with wet trees 20 ft off the deck , the haul was from Shasta area to SF put out years of good service
Also had a 70s travelall couldn't keep a rear end in it when towing so he got a 3/4 ton burb put a 3 speed browny behind the factory 4.and a dodge power wagon transfer case!!

Nice! My 4x4 crew cab truck has the 392 with a T36 5 speed, that motor doesn't know there is a truck hooked to it.

It aint a truck unless you can fit a full 4x8 sheet of plywood in the back!

Well I have never had a personalized plate, never really had anything fitting I felt like paying extra to have. Well that all has changed......I like it, makes me smile every time I see it.
