bought home me 'new-to-me' cr500!

well i owned a rx7 turbo that couldnt be rego'd and got sick of that so i swapped it for a cr500 and a suzuki swift turbo'd, bit of a girls car but a great sleeper. to the point this cr gets left for dead by 250 two smokes, something aint right, previous owner said it needs new reeds, pulled it down and there was only one reed in the cage... 
and you can push the kickstart down with your hand, so probably needs a rebuild, ill start working on it as soon as i get the money! any hints and tips to get a bit more out of it for now? got another second hand reed for it for the time being but new ones are on their way as soon as i start paying for them...
