cr500 engine upgrade questions

I have a 1986 CR500 that i am currently rebuilding.

I have managed to get a new 2001 clutch casing to upgrade that so changing the clutch will be easier.

The crank need sorting as there is a lot of play but i am having a hard time sourcing a conrod for the 1986 engine as it is shorter.
My question is if i were to buy the later cyclinder could i fit the later conrod and piston to my crank?

Also is it possible now i have the later clutch cover to upgrade my clutch to the wider type in the later engines?

Any other recommendation would be welcome.

don't know about the UK but you can get an 86 OEM rod from any of the OEM dealers

I have just placed an order with service honda.

Can anyone confirm if the later wider clutch will fit as a replacement for the standard 1986 clutch. I have replaced the clutch side casing with a brand new one from a 2001 engine.

Thanks
