Hi, can someone let me know what a good balance factor would be for my AF crank? Im going to get the crank balanced but have heard all sorts of numbers from 52% to 74%. If someone knows a figure that has worked well for them that would be good. The engine is an 89 model

These guys did mine, smoother than my 250 now excluding at idle speeds. I doubt he will tell you the BF, I think it was around 56% but steve is tight lipped about the affair.

Thanks for the info and links, There is very little on the net about actual balance factors so I think I will go with 56% and see how it goes. I want it smoothest in the 4000 - 7000 rpm range.

ktm honda crank worked out to within a few grams according to cranksworks with a modified wiseco. no weight added or removed. im assuming they balanced back to factory specs. never really asked any questions. havent ran it yet but it better not vibrate.
