What cam is it?
Sounds good, I can't seem to find a balance with the wind noise on mine.

That's what I have.
What are your settings?
What do you use to convert the video if you do?

I set it to "ContourHD". 1280x720, 30FPS. Mic sensitivity @ default (39 I think)

Still looking for something to do edits. The software that comes with the camera (that you download from the site) is, shall we say, "Limited". Pulling this 30 seconds out was painful as this camera records in Quicktime .MOV H.264. I used Vegas Pro trial for this clip. I will NOT be buying that. It's too complicated for my needs. Good stuff otherwise. Expensive as hell @ $600.

The last program I used that did the direct stream copy so I could cut clips out without rendering won't do Quicktime. No surprise. It's freeware and nothing Apple devises is free.

I'll let you know what I find though. Seems everything insists on converting and re-rendering / compressing. That's total bullshit.

Did you leave the sticker over the mic hole? I did.

Now I feel dumb.
Simple ass answer.
Quicktime Pro.
Set markers.
Trim to markers.
Save as.
Done.

Quicktime pro?
For 30 bucks, seems like a bargain if it works.
Do you like it?
Does it include only 1 license or can I put it on both my PC's?

It does the job. It's pretty rudimentary though. I'd save your money.

Which mount do you use?
I need a new 3m sticky pad for my mount.
There is a new flat surface mount they just came out with that's supposed to be more adjustable.
I have a goggle mount somewhere and haven't used it. I wonder if it would be stable enough?
Got any idea where those 3m sticky pads can be had besides Amazon.com?

I use this one. http://contour.com/camera/accessories/profile
But it needs to be where a goggle strap would be. Luckily, in this case, I have never worn goggles. I have some plastic glasses I wear inside my helmet on occasion.

No idea on where to get more 3M tape.

I didn't know that was available.
I just ordered it along with the round adhesives for my other mount from the Contour website.
That mount looks like it's more flexible and will follow the "contour" of my helmet!

I paid $380 total. That got me:
1 Contour 1080HD
with default mounts (goggle and stationary)
2 gig mem card
battery
1 extra battery
4 side helmet mounts
1 16 gig mem card

+ tax, shipping.

The batteries last at least 2 hours each so far.

That's actually a KX100, his mom's bike that just needed to be ridden. He thinks its more fun than his KDX anyway.
