And did I mention it's titled? I will be turning this one into my plated woods bike. Pretty clean, low hour 1990. Every bearing and seal in the bike has been replaced, the engine is fresh (bottom end and all) and the suspension has been rebuilt, front and rear. All that's left to do is cosmetics. I don't plan on going too crazy with cosmetics, though, as I don't want to end up with another total restoration where the bike is too nice to ride (like my '86). This one is going to get ridden.:ride: Here she is loaded up. More pics hopefully tomorrow.

I love the Flash Red bikes! Too bad it is so damn hard to find that color plastic in good condition..... I have all Flash Red on my 2000 and I am always nervous I am going to fuck up the plastic and have to hunt forever to find replacements.

The rear fender on this bike is from UFO, and the color is pretty much a dead on match. I have Maier plastics on my '86 and the color is also very, very close to the factory color. Isn't actually cheap buying a whole plastic kit, though!

Gave the bike a bath and did some riding. What a beast! I'm going to replace some hardware, freshen up the paint on the frame, recover the seat, add a skid plate, steering damper, lights, stick a plate on it and use it to connect trails legally.

I know what I would do to that bike......put gas in it and ride the piss out of it! That bike is nice man. I have a steely GPR setup I would let go pretty cheap.

Thanks. Ordered a skidplate, frame guards and new air filter. Should have them next week. Got a new rear tire for it today. Going to freshen up the paint on the frame as soon as it warms up some and have some fun!

The prison sentence is much worse for using a bike other than a CR500 for dual sport use than it is for putting lights on one. ;)

I have two street legal CR500s. I can't be that bad of a guy.
