That article is about Clear Creek, there is another place called Holister Hills near by that is still open. Cleer Creek was the spot when I was a kid and Hollister was the day trip place or the place to MX when they would open the upper ranch track. Clear Creek is still closed as far as I know. If they ever open it back up....hit it the place is killer.

This makes all the sense right here:
for many years, the BLM has been under pressure from the EPA to do something about Clear Creek to avoid being sued by several green advocacy groups.
Just another spot the greenies want closed for "conservation". :twisted:
The CR500 is an acquired taste. If you don't like it, acquire some taste...
