cr no vin...

Hi I was curious if anyone else's cr had this. I have the stock info sticker on the neck of my 85 cr and it has all the info bit no vin# anywhere not stamped or on sticker there is no fading of sticker or sign that it was somehow removed any ideas are welcome?!

The only thing I can think of is maybe it's a replacement frame.
I understand they don't have vin numbers.

Aha ic that would make sense.! I was wondering because the guy I bought it from sayed that the factory race bikes didn't have vins?.. I know it does have an upgraded rear shock he said was also factory upgrade
