I was going to buy a new one when they first came out, but the salesman was a douche, so I walked out on him.
He wouldn't budge from the sticker price, and wouldn't shut up about financing........I showed him my stack of $100 bills in my pocket as I walked away.
I'm just waiting for a good used one to pop up locally so I can add it to the stable.

That sucks the salesman was like that. Sucks for him
There is a 09' for sale and the dealer by my work but they want $7,200 for it.

They seem to be 7500-10000 canadian around here.
I couldn't get my XR650R plated here, so the KTM is one of my few options for a good street legal dirt bike.

I was looking for a plated XR 650 but they are getting hard to find now days. Plus it being at a dealership is nice so I can maybe get financed. It's just hard to pull the trigger for that kind of money when you can get a lot more bike for the money if you change what kind of bike you want.

You can horse-beat the xr and as long as you change the oil, air filter and adjust the valves(it really is as easy as they say) it will last forever.
KTM is an expensive time-bomb

Got it home and went for a little ride.
It's no CR500.
The bike needs some jetting and de-corking.
Hopefully it wont give me any engine trouble, or we might see a KTM/CR500 conversion.
