So i'm loading the bikes & threading tie downs between spokes, and the CR5 tips & hits the bed rail.

Didn't think much of it, because it was close to the side & didn't hit too hard.

The plastics mount to the radiator, & I guess it took a square hit on the side.
I've got a cracked radiator.

Are you guys using OEM radiators?
Is there an aftermarket radiator thats stronger?
I see an aftermarket from china on Ebay, but the flow / design may be?
Has anybody stiffened theirs up, by welding aluminum on the sides?

Is this a common problem, as the plastics are not mounted to the frame, but the side of the radiator?

a set of guards is money well spent... if all you care about is fixing a leak JB weld works great as long as you clean it good if its on the core

It had the front guards on it.

It took a shot to where the side plastic mounts to the side of the radiator.

Not sure I can fix it - maybe a weld fix.
