Unless the plug was just taken out of the motor for for pictures, That motor is going to need a rebuild before its worth more than scrap.

Sweet. That project was a good idea....just bad execution. It looks like the front motor mounts actually line up, but there's nowhere for the exhaust to go. Just as well, since it probably wouldn't have run very well with that fourstroke FCR carb on it!!!

i dont see the point of doing that seeing as the 02-07 250s work great once you get the tuning issues sorted
seems like a lot of work for not much gain
now if that was a 500 going in there it would be different

nice, thats a lot newer than I thought it was. I bought it today, do these things handle pretty well compared to the other gens? I am for sure putting an 87 500 motor in it. Not sure why they were bothering with the 250.

SH offered a similar conversion. 01 was Honda's best 250 motor - or at least a lot of people seem to think so. Read as to why below...

paid 125, but he owed me a few hundred, so I figured I have 450 in it. I think thats a good deal.
Whats a 250 engine worth these days?

This will give you an idea:

I'd say $600-$700 depending on condition. You'd better go thru it and check it prior to sale. Who knows how long that plug has been off.

Yea, im sure it has been plugless for quite some time. Guess I need to tear it down and put it on ebay, so I can begin gathering conversion parts
