Girlfriends mom is battling for her life with a brain aneurysm.
Her name is Anita Arkeketa. Slip her into your prayers tonight.

Unlike most prospective future "In-Laws", she is wonderful and treats me like my own mother does.

Thanks guys. Cherish the time you have, this literally slammed her out of the blue, and you never know if you will make it to tomorrow or not.

She has made it 24 hours now, things are looking better so far. Dr. says the left side of the brain shows weakness, but we are still hopeful she comes out her old self.

Thanks to anyone who prayed!

Just heard back, she is awake and pretty coherent, a little confused, but Dr thinks she will make a full recovery. It was looking very VERY bad there for about 10 hours, but things are definitely getting much better. Lord definitely reached out and touched her this time.

Looks like she'll recover, thank goodness.
I waited to post this hoping she would be ok.
My mom died of that back in 1984 at 44 years old.
Since then, people can recover if they get to a hospital quick enough.
I've worried that it might be hereditary.
I think Bret Michaels from Poison had that last year and survived?

In the same state as yesterday, but her condition hasnt worsened, so things are looking good.

Thanks for the support everyone.

I was worried she wouldnt make it, she is 58, but she doesnt look a day over 45, she's real healthy other than this obviously.

Talked to her this morning, he's feeling better.

they are doing another angeogram monday, there is still too much blood around her brain for them to see whats up, and then they will take the appropriate action to get her patched up.

But she is doing much better!

Update. She is home now! thanks for everyone's support!

On another note, there is hell to be raised. I just found out that after the paramedics got there to pick her up, they wasted 30 minutes trying to tell the family that they could not afford the fucking ambulance ride, then made her walk out to the ambulance, thus wasting about 40 minutes she could have been at the hospital.

Doctors said it is a miracle she even survived, let alone without any brain damage.

retarded thing is that they drive nice cars, live in a nice house in a good neighborhood....but either way, it is NOT the paramedics concern to argue about your financial situation, it is to get your fucking ass to the HOSPITAL, STAT.
