So here's the story. I'm in Lincoln, NE today at Speedway Motors with the owner of SCAT Crankshaft on business. He wants to see the museum on the property. http://www.museumofamericanspeed.com/default.dlp So we get the guided tour, I've been in the museum a number of times, but it's always evolving and it's pretty damn cool no matter how many times you have seen it.

So after looking though most of the display pieces, consisting of old Sprint Cars, USAC Midgets, Indy cars, Stock Cars etc....and lots of old engines to fit those cars I see the following:

All I found about this was that it was run in a Midget. It was built by Ron Hoettels who had engines under the SESCO name I think. He was in Milwaukee, WI when he built this I am told.

Pretty cool find in a museum of race cars.

That museum is top notch. Anybody that's in the Lincoln area needs to stop for a visit. I've been there once, but it was only a whirlwind tour. May have to make a trip back there soon...

Speedy Bill & his wife Joyce have always told me to call ahead of coming and they'd give me the tour themselves.

This was the second time that Bill gave me the tour. He's one of a kind.

It sucks that I didn't have a decent camera.

How is old Bill? Last time I seen him he was looking pretty frail.

Yep, 82. When I saw him in April he was in a wheel chair for a broken hip, someone told me it was his 2nd time with one. He's getting old and frail for sure, but he's getting around about as well as can be expected.
