500 ones are expensive.
250 ones are cheap.
Same cover for the most part, nt sure of the year cutoff....

I realized this Bob, thats why I was looking to buy second hand, thanks for the tip
I would rather pick up another one but I could tig this one up I dont know if thats a good Idea or not?

I think 2003 was the last year for the CR250 cover......

The cr250 covers will work from 87-01.
The covers changed with the 02 case reed engine.

Everyone says they've changed and while I haven't tried yet I would have sworn the only difference is they are made of magnesium. I'll check soon and see if my spare500/old250 cover will fit my gen3 250

2002+ is deffinately different. i have a few of both
