1985 Engine - 1997 Frame - Rear Bushings

Post by CR500PHIL »

I have a roller I built from a 1997 CR500 frame. I just purchased a 1985 engine. I know you can replace the rear bushings to accomodate to the larger swingarm bolt or bore the bushing. What is the easiest approach? What has people had the best results with? I am thinking I may have to have the new bushing made unless I can obtain a 1989+ bushing on here.

the bushing in there if its an 85 theres a sleeve only, 86-88 has the small bushing.
the 85 had washers beside the case.
Make them as a 1 piece deal.
Need measurements?

Will I need to bore the cases? How hard is it to remove this sleeve?
