I'll cut him some slack for the rims and fork legs....

I kinda like the pipe, not the rims so much.
Brushed aluminum would look better.
It does kinda look overdone, not good for a track and not right for a showpiece either.
I'm building 6 vintage bikes and the only ones that will look stock is the 74 YZ125 and the 71 CZ380.
I'm not gonna bling it like that, I like white bikes.
69 AT1M, 73 MX250, 82 CR480, 76 YZ125.
I'm considering getting some 87 Yamahas for the new class but they don't score on the national level yet.
Here's a couple of nice pics.

Tharell I dig that Pomeroy sticker on the side of that Yamaha. He flicked me a First American T-shirt years ago at a shop in Washington because I knew who he was, it is about the only thing in my life I haven't ruined. I never wore it, still have it. He was a good guy.

Nice bikes you have there too!

X2 on the GP old school bike pics.

Hey guys, that's not my bike.
It's some guy on the west coast and he's pretty fast.
Anyway, that's the way I'm headed except for the downpipe.
I'm gonna make a new years resolution to not buy a bike for at least 6 months.
It will take me that long to work on all the projects I have.
Wish more of you guys would look into AHRMA.
Hey, you can ride mx bikes in cross country.
You guys buy up the big bore Hondas that qualify and come on out!
btw-Here's the holy grail.
1974 Yamaha YZ250A
Again, not my bike but I'm always on the lookout.

Buls are so beautiful. I used to idolize Pomeroy and Bailey.
However, they are somewhat fragile compared to a CZ.
Man, a CZ prefers you not use the clutch.
I'm still trying to replicate the Joel Robert move, keeping my left hand on the helmet from start through the first turn.
It's like a damn farm implement and tough as a 2 dollar steak.
BAM! grab a gear, BAM! grab another gear.
This damn bike shit is in my blood.
I thought I lost it 20 years ago.

Those rotary valve engines from Kawasaki and especially Can-Am were extremely powerful.
That Kawasaki is sorta rare brother, hang onto it.

Nice - Similar to the one I had - but not. Mine was a 75 KX250 - ended up trading it for a 86 CR125. Very cool!

It's actually my neighbors, I got him motivated over summer to drag it off his side yard where it had been sitting for 20 years and fix it. It was in rough shape, we basically boiled the tank out with acid and bb's and cleaned the carb, it fired right up! we sanded the tank and fenders down and shot them with some paint, went to some bike shops and scored a brand new front tire for free from the recycling pile and I threw an old tire of mine on the back. I had a connection at the upholstery shop up the street so I got the seat refoamed and covered for cheap. If theres one thing I hate about it and I think throws it off is the spark arrestor. I wanted to get a sparky cobra for it but they are discountinued so I found a yz250 turbine core for $30 and welded it on. thats the story behind it, Now my neighbor has a bike and can tag along

That silencer could be cut in half.

I have a strict noise enforcement and its a spark arrestor, believe me I've wanted to cut it down, I had the stock silencer which is badass but couldnt source a sparky cobra for it so I cut it off and did this.

The 465 was a bitchin motor, when they "improved" it to the 490 they fuked it all up.....
