My Chevy has 147,000 on the ORIGINAL brakes. I drive allot of freeway, but I also pull the big red trailer allot, which has no brakes. Algava and I did 5500 rpm "Full Pull" of the northbound 14 incline with no lower end or valvetrain failure. I beat the crap out of that thing!

well, I own one of each and both have had some minor problems, my chevy's 5.7 vortec is awesome, but they had an engineering flaw, so every couple years you have to replace the intake manifold gaskets. both HVAC systems SUCK BALLS. the chevy had a design flaw with the a/c compressor that makes it leak out the seam where the to cases meet and my ford a/c just doesn't blow cold for 1 day everycouple months, but will work fine the next...weird...
My ford in an '04 so it has the newer brakes which are HUGE and kick ass, my chevys brakes are sub-par if towing without a trailer brake. Powder rods are only an issue when making big power.
but all in all, my chevy has 260,000 miles on the original drive train and my ford has 60,000 and I don't think my ford will have the original drive train at 260,000.

Chevy:2 (Bob, and Iggy but they are 2 wheel drive no posi/street tires)
Ford:4 (all 4x4's with decent tire)
Dodge:2 (4x4)

This isnt counting the NUMBER of saves per vehicle as I pulled the same truck more then once a FEW times!!
