Shit, that Y looks like garbage ! Appears to bave been bent (using a vice and hammer, judging by the marks) from something really soft and ductile, possibly something like 5005 H34. Not boxed in beneath, and no structural connection between cradle tubes and downtube. You'd bet pretty heavy on that thing breaking in half if stressed ! BTW, did anyone else notice the radiator tank touching the Y ?

i noticed the Y is hollow underneath. not sure what thats all about . wonder why the Y is up that high. guess he plans on putting his arm in there

I don't think the Y is stock, heres mine straight from the crate

also unless he found a source for that tubing he has machined that up :?:
Look at his pic, it has a smooth uniform bend. Have a look at mine it has 2 distinct bends from the factory.

ya its a service honda, but i think/hope it because the pipe is bent really bad, i need a few tire spoons and a hammer to take it off, and put it back on
i didnt have a mark there till i got my suspension revalved(softer) and i mashed the pipe at the same time, but i think i bottomed it before

I would love to build one of these, the tubing isnt that big of a challenge. make 2 billet rails that incorperate the front mounts and match the tubing shape, use the stock headstay or fab a sheetmetal one as done above, just be sure to inclose it  . These new bikes look so fkn cool, are smaller, slimmer than the old 450's.

who needs a conversion done ? i need some fun money :nanna:

I guess that's good if you are the size of Ricky Carmichael
