E-line wiring guidance needed

Hi,
I've got my hands on an old BD external stator for my CR500 and wanted to confirm my DC wiring plan to make sure I don't cook anything :)
I have a 5 lead reg/rec from trailtech rated at 150w that gives me the option to limit charge going to the battery pack (rated @ 3.7mAh) through a blue lead so I don't cook it.
I've done a ton of searching online and still haven't gotten a clear understanding of how to wire the system.
My ultimate goal is to run an 8inch HID racelight (rated at 35w draw), HID helmet light (rated at 30w draw) and gps using the DC power.
My questions are:
  • The red stator wire, how exactly should this connected? Floated, grounded to the chassis, connected to one of the yellow reg/rec leads or connected to the common neg leads for the lights/accessories?
Is it safe to run both yellow leads from the stator through the reg/rec for full power or will this cook the unit?
If not safe to run both yellow leads from the stator through the reg/rec should I run one yellow stator lead to both reg/rec yellow leads?
Any advice/guidance from those in the know would be greatly appreciated!
Here is a basic diagrams I drew up to help me plan everything out before I start cutting wire:

Spoke with Mike @ ricky stator and he indicated that I should run the pink stator wire to one of the yellow reg/rec wires and one of the yellow stator wires to the other the yellow reg/rec wires.
He was uncertain if connecting both yellow stator wires to one yellow reg/rec lead would work as the windings may be out of phase, he just couldn't remember. I may give it a try to see what kind of results I get.
Floating or chassis grounding does not matter for the accessories. Floating only comes into play if the stator is grounded to the bike.
His other suggestion was to find out what model ducati the stator comes from and purchase the specific reg/rec for that bike as it will handle both yellow stator leads.

hell with the helmet light. tv on the handlebars would be cooler :D

I dont understand your diagram at all....

I gotta go put up some lights, I'll chimed in later....

i doubt there in phase, but thats just a guess
if there out of phase and you want to make it 1 output youll need another reg/rectifier, then you can connect the +s together, and the -s together

for the reg to work it needs a ground to one of the yellow wires and a live(you called it a positive), 2 diffrent phases of live will not work properly, if at all

to give you an idea how they work look at this, yours is the same except it has a rectifier/charge limiter
it connects the "plus" and "minus" together, and just shorts excess voltage away

keep in mind there is no + or - coming out of the stators, it AC, and unless it perfectly in phase you cant connect them together

AC is never "in phase".... hence the alternating part....

Heres a schamatic I understand. 2 AC legs (180 degrees seperation) feeding into a regulator / rectifier with 12 volts DC output, and then typical low voltage DC wiring from there.

Lots of info here.....
