New bike

Post by Tharrell »

Not a 500 and far from it but cool none the less.
I'm gonna dress it up like a 250 Elsinore, downpipe and all.

Nice!

Who made the pipe for it?

I used to have a 1975 KX250 that I wanted to do the same thing for many moons ago.
The CR500 is an acquired taste. If you don't like it, acquire some taste...

A guy name Harry Taylor who did all the pipes for Strickly Hodaka.
The original came with it too.

Same pegs? Cool.
I haven't picked it up yet.
It's in TN.
I'm gonna pick it up when I go to AL for Christmas.
I'm hopin my grand daughter won't like it because I'm gonna make it an Elsinore replica and mount it in my living room!
I'm kinda curious to see how it runs with that massive pipe on it.
I bought my daughter a CR60 back in 83 and that was the peakiest bike I'd ever seen.
It didn't really wind up until about 12k and then it would pitch your ass off the back.
