Shifter placement doesnt effect shifting, unless its hitting something.

If you cant get it into first, you got issues.

thats how i bought my first cr 80 1986 for cheap, it would rarely go into second, but would shift up from there, so rode in first, till i bailed and bent the shifter, then it worked good
was planning on splitting the cases, that was a nice suprise

can you see the 2 stroke :D

the 450 will have less power and will be harder to start, and will be heavier, but to make up for it it will require more maintenance.

Get your story straight.

"Back down" would indicate that it once was....

No he just puts extra air filter oil in his air box it's good for 3 miles????

You moved your shifter down that far??
I usually move em up so it's easier to get my boot under it???

i read it the first time billybobblown :P

the gas station is 1/2mile up the road (45seconds or so) so i just put the right amount of oil in a container i have and dump it in the tank when i get there, pump my gas, and shake bike back and forth before leaving....
pretty simple

i moved the shifter down so it would rest on my boot a bit better. like i said i didnt test it after moving it till i left for the gas station that day... still made it up the hill thru two stop signs in 5th gear....
