For those of you,
that have actually Owned a 1984 CR500,
is a 1984 AirCooled worth getting,
compared to the WaterCooled of later years?

I owned an 84 back in the day. They were hard to jet and always seemed to ping. Some of the vintage guys ride them. And a handful

would make a nice collector item. be fun to putt around on. wouldnt want one as my only bike. thats just me though. never had the honda but had a it490 and yz465, were a good conversation piece and thats about it. probly be right up you alley if you prefer old aircooled bikes

theres guys here with modded head squish that have solved that.

No. Unless you found a mint version for a bargain basement price. Or it was your first bike or something similar. Definitely not a first choice for collecting, historic racing, technology etc. If you could pick any you might go for 1983 CR480R, 1986-1987 CR500R, 2001 CR500R?
