What year engine is the bike set up for? I.e., short rod or long rod.

Straight swap for 89+ motors.
Currently has an 87 motor with a newer sized rear motor bush installed.
Only real differences between a short rod and long rod motor would be the headstay and the intake manifold boot.

ill have to holler at DMV and ask them how it works since there will be no motor in this frame.. i had mine all tore apart and had to put it back together for inspection/title..... was really simple but kinda stupid it had to be together....
how flexible are you on the price ? i would just drive up and grab it from ya unless you would be willing to meet half way...
do you use a CR500 pipe and just weld new mounts on it ? havent read all the threads about AF mods cause never figured i would ever own/build one... i have a new GNARLY that i really like on my steeley....

When I titled this bike it was easy, just had someone at DMV verify the frame and new engine #s and your good.

Use any stock pipe and just relocate the brackets/mounts on the pipe. No bend changes are necessary.

I got into this one the exact same way lol, once you experience the handling diff you'll never go back.

as for the DMV youre in cali, im in AZ. .. rules are a little different here (i can put my dirtbike on the road you cant

)

do i have to modify anything on my 500 engine to work in this frame ?
water outlets in stock head OK ?
PWK bolt in place ?
airbox modded ?
cr500 coil work ?
just some things i seen doing some reading that i noticed had to be changed on other AF builds....
ill holler at ya saturday afternoon and we can talk...

If its an 89+ motor its bolt and go.
Theres a splittler included to accomodate the 2 port head (use your stock hoses)
PWK will bolt up fine.
Stock airbox is fine on the gen 1s.
Has an installed CR250 coil that you will just plug into your ignition.
