Early gearbox's

I have an 89 that is apart. The person I purchased the bike from has some what looks to be early parts with it. One piece clutch cover, early kicker and some gears. Are the early trans the same 3rd and 4th as the 93 on? Thanks Bob

'91-'01 trans interchange for sure, not same ratio though. never tried any previous years

id measure the rear bushing bore, where is the outlet on the jug?
