Not all is good, even when it appears to be.....

They all need rebuilds, in fact I only have one good motor, out of all 3, and even that one needs a fresh bore.

One has a broken rod and some minor crankcase damage resultant, one has a broken cuntershaft guard, one is a stop sign at 90.5 mm.

The rod takes a vacation....

The chain reaction:

The stop sign...

would have helped if this guy had the right size piston in it... he had a 90.25, and the bore measured 90.5 ~ if I recall right, anyway there was a pile of slop. No wonder the rings were chatteing above the top of the exhaust port.

All my life I have been a picky sumbitch, and bought new shit cause I hate other peoples headaches....

well I guess I am changing.... no not really, they just don't make 500's anymore...

This shit will be perfect when I am done with it...one way or another.

Work has really picked up, so .....

Millar Race Engines might be getting a pile of work on their doorstep....
I think Adam is about the only person I would trust.
We have been on the phone allot, and i like his work ethics and knowledge.

i was under the impression that one bore-size too small of a piston would not even get any compression? never tried it though LOL.....

The bore is about 90.35-90.38 oval, I should be able to clean it up at 90.50, i'll confirm that by the end of the day

Just a bump for Roosty here.
He has had my stuff for 2 days, and promptly tore it all down, inspected and ordering parts as required.

Communication has been better than any I have ever expereinced in the motorcycle or automotive industry. Best EVER.
His knowledge, work ethic, and passion for this work is very evident.
I think he is even more excited about my engines than I am sometimes.

I can't imagine anyone would find a better guy to deal with. I am stoked.

I got pictures of the case and cylinder porting my engines will receive.
All I can say, is the theory and workmanshiop is the best I have ever seen.
Without a doubt the most forward thinking I have seen.
MRE TWIRP porting is the most advanced porting I have ever seen for a CR500. Cylinder scavenging and primary compression flow changes are the center theory, as well as port velocities, over and above the typical port work for a CR500.

I am highly anticipating the new found power!

Please don't ask for more information or pictures. I will not disclose his performance secrets at his request.
