my gauge was 36.50 (I best offered 29.50+7 ship.
Block was $20 so I was I'm into it 56.50. But I did not pay for any shipping on the gauge block.
there is this one for $29 shipped

Jay thinks he has a dozen or so more gauge blocks. If enough guys on here wanted them I could probably get one of the e-bay guys to sell a lot of ten or so gauges at reduced price and put together a complete unit to ship, that way not paying shiping for gauge and again for block.

1 would take 2, and if I could save on multiple shipping to canada, that would be a big +.

you know right off hand if theyre 9/16 or 5/8 nipples ? esr is 5/8 and was a bitch getting it in the honda hoses. fit perfect on the ktm because the hose is bigger.

hey Clyde I have a dumb question what is on your right side radiator hose?
Looks like a inline thermostat.
Just wondering because we are looking for a inline thermostat for one of or alcohol quads we will be racing on alcohol. we struggled getting heat in the motor and pipe last year until after a few laps.

ya thermostat. they come standard on some of the ktm bikes. seems like it opens between 150-160 degrees if i recall correct. new one is about $75. one on ebay for $35

Clyde, do you feel the thermostat helps the engine warm up to operating temp quicker?
Posted: October 18th, 2010, 9:48 pm
by 100hp honda
yes it would warm up quicker. blocks one radiator until 150ish degrees. looks exactly like what a car uses only miniature size

I would "86" those worm clamps before they poke holes in the rads, and use these instead....
http://www.gates.com/brochure.cfm?broch ... ion_id=546
They come is all popular sizes.

I love the look of those shrink clamps but the last time I priced them they were pretty salty.
Since I pull my hoses off allot I shyed away from them, but if they would be about a buck each I would be all over them for sure.

Its not like you pull the gauge "Y" fitting of fthe hoses everyday..... but it sure looks like on the first ride, that worn clamp is going right through the radiator core.
