anybody have experience with these little buggers ? if i wanted to bypass the oil mixer bullcrap is it as easy as plugging off the lines and just using premix in the tank ? never messed with one of these. does the oil pump thing need the oil to lube itself ? in other words if it dont have the oil going through it will it seize ? looks like the oil gets sprayed in where the slide is. is that where it mixes ?

read the service manual. gonna just try some premix and see what happens. i guess the main jet orifice can pass enough fuel with oil mixed in.

i pulled the whole pump off the kids pw50, made a plug on the lathe, removed the tank and everything with it. now if the choke plunger wasnt stuck open in the carb it'd run great

I did exactly the same thing on my kid's pw50. No problems at all. Smells great burning bean oil.

well it started pretty easy and ran ok. few hours later tried again but it didnt run as good. carb must be clogged with that corrosion shit. i was looking and i could take the pump out but i would need a rubber plug or something air tight. no manual choke on this one

, not even a choke flap. some kind of automatic shit with hoses and check valve. dont think the stupid thing is even working.

cleaned carb again. runs pretty good now

. went around the neighborhood few times. never had one of these little bikes but their badass. hopefully get it liscenesed in the next few weeks and ride it to work. running premix and bypassing the pump. still not sure what to do because service manual doesnt show pump internals to know if it needs the oil to keep lubed. easiest thing might be put a return line back to the tank and let it circulate.

trying to find headlight assembly before it can be legeal. mean time figured i try and make it go faster some how

. have no way to change final drive ratio so thats out of the question. maybe alter the ports to raise rpm and that would increase top speed

, and it should reach top speed faster. 28mph was about fast as i could get it before.
sqaure exhaust into round pipe cant be good. better change that
look ma, no bridge

. raise exhaust alittle should do the trick
shave a pinch off the head
miniature ART piston

started grinding

. trying to decide how to make hole more round without hogging too much material. thinking of filling the corners with epoxy maybe and reshaping everything. anyone tried epoxy in the exhaust ? would it pop loose ? is there high temp shit that bonds good to cast iron ? whole jug is cast iron. maybe better to abort the epoxy idea and do best i can without it ?

just about done. finish alittle more on the head tomorow then put everything back together. small increments make big changes when your dealing with bore this small. first time i messed with 1.5" piston
honda must slap these together and throw em out the door without checking anything. tranfer floors were well below top of the piston. made new gasket with .010 thicker material to raise transfers alittle. turned it over and they look better now.
took about .005 off so far. another .005-.010 off tomorow.
changed boost port alittle. opens maybe .040 before other ports. wasnt planing to go quit that far
wanted to keep flatest roof possible without snagging rings. pinch over 2mm wider. went from 65% to 70% bore. went up some also.

naw i think theyre completely different. express is moped thats case reed with 2speed automatic clutch that drives rear wheel with gears and chain. mt50 is basically like a standard motorcycle.
mt50
