I think that having someones safety coming first is not ass kissing at all. You should google some lawn chair conversions that have failed and see what happened to the dude ridin the bike. Prolly a good idea to make sure the tank is modded right considering where and what its sitting on top of. As far as frame rails go.....would you sit on this fukr? Cause I wouldn't!

Well you should be I suppose, pardon the hell out of us for wanting you to have a safe vehicle to operate. Most of the people offering suggestions and constructive critisism have been riding these bikes for a very long time, most of the people who are commenting on this thread and ridereds have built at least one of these AF's so rather than getting your panties in a twist, take this for what it is, some good advice, a few suggestions and hell of alot of humor and fun. My self, I have 24 years on board on CR500 I cant speak for everyone else.

You can't re -weld a weld on alum. it doesn't work.
Anyway, BOB brought this on and I hear you.
I made some spelling and grammar corrections for you- keep plugging away on that GED......

  I don't know how I missed the last 4 or 5 pages of this BS.

I will admit Bobs bike does not look 100% OEM but it does look 100% FRIGGIN GREAT without a doubt.
The whole thread was laid out perfectly to help someone else make another one like it.
There are some bikes out there built better but they were built after his but they are AUSSIE made ( Sorry Bob :D )

Also when you are doing / modifying something for the first time you expect to make a F@#K UP, If you don't you just count yourself VERY BLOODY LUCKY.

Unless you are STUPID you learn from that F@#K UP and improve your method of modifying the item and hopefully the out come, if not you work out a way of acheiving that goal, you don't give up or you become a QUITTER! ( to steal a phrase from someone NO QUITTERS!!, not sure who though )

As for modifying the fuel tank all the revelant INFO was posted for a very good reason, SO NO ONE ELSE NEEDS TO F@#K UP A PERFECTLY GOOD FUEL TANK! GOT IT!

It is a bit like all these dudes trying to figure out what spacers they need to use all the time, ALL THE INFORMATION IS POSTED HERE IN AT LEAST 3 DIFFERENT PLACES!

At least these guys are actually asking before they just F@#K something UP!

I have to ask "how many people actually use their brain anymore" I can't beleive how we got to this point.

Sorry Bob I just thought this SH!T is completely RIDICULOUS!

I was the first to admit it, those Aussie bikes are best built bikes I have ever seen.

I love the Aussie bike's! I think TT's bike's were done pretty good (by whomever it was that was welding them) at least. Well, until he decided it would be cool to butt fuck everyone with sand paper lube and bullshit.
